Look at the leaves all tumbling down,
All brilliant colors, swirling round and round.
Lines of V shaped geese, up toward the sky,
Tells us the snows will soon be nigh.
Going south to rest on the sea coast there,
Catching fish to eat, without a single care.
Squirrels scampering about the trees all around,
Gathering nuts, to go bury in the ground.
Cold winds blowing, frost on the ground,
Halloween's gone, Thanksgivings abound.
Ice cycles hanging from the house and trees,
Have to bundle up good, so you won't freeze.
Seems there's a smile on every single face,
Could it be Christmas they're trying to race?
It's coming all right, with snow sifting down,
Bring out the sleigh, have to go into town.
Shopping to do for every family member,
Being sure that every friend we do remember.
Watching for Santa, herding his reindeer,
Hoping for a Christmas, with a whole lot of cheer.
Hang up your stockings, don't wait too long,
Children, get to bed, Santa will be right along.
Dad, damper the fire, Mama put out some pie,
Pretty soon now, Santa will be stopping by.
Christmas will be gone, and New Year coming in,
Our do's and don't list we'll have to begin.
We'll have to try to do better, this coming year,
Bring out the egg nog, lets be full of cheer.
Watch out for each other, day in and day out,
All through the year, be a super good scout.
Keep your resolutions, and be of good cheer,
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a Happy New Year.
