For your fifth happy birthday my sweet little girl,
We're going to pretend we're looking all over the world.
We shan't look at maps, and books and such,
We'll look at clouds, almost close enough to touch.
We'll lay on our backs in a big patch of clover,
Watching the big soft, clouds as they fly over.
One little boy sees an elephant, he's all white,
Alex saw two big bears, who got into a fight.
Samantha saw a doll, riding a stroller by,
Then she saw a Leprechaun strutting about the sky.
Now she sees a dog, with two tails and all,
Goodness we hope these animals don't take a fall.
They'd land in the clover, right here by us,
Wouldn't that put us in a terrible muss?
But we could all ride the elephant, up on his head,
If the clouds would fall down, we could even make a bed.
Tie together the dog's two tails, then he'd have just one,
And Samantha could try her best to catch the little Leprechaun.
Then hitch the bears to the little stroller, tho they're trying to hide,
And she could take the pretty little dolly for a long, long ride.
