Engraved Upon His Palms

On that sad day many years ago Lord, we think of Thee.
We think of the pain you felt and know Lord, we are not worthy.
However sweet Jesus, you arose and accepted all to receive.
For, you had so much tender mercy dear Lord, for all who believe.

Keep guiding each one sweet Jesus, and let all come to know,
For, Thou art the Son that saved our sinful soul, long ago.
Help us to bring others into Thy Godly heart, every day of life.
Help us Lord to remember Thee, and surely forget all the strife.

One day we shall come to meet you sweet Lord above.
I know we will need to keep our heart clean and pure, for Thy love.
I pray our names will be engraved, inside Thy loving, and holy heart.
Then when we meet Thee sweet Jesus, we shall never part.

Help us to love our brothers and sisters Lord, without doubt,
Help us to know in our heart that Jesus is what it is all about.
I know so many who love Thee Lord, and each one should tell,
Friends and family, that their soul won't be lost in Satan’s hell.

I pray that every generation will hear and honor Thy Holy word,
And that they hear the sweetest story ever in life to be heard.
Forgive us Lord Jesus for every sin that has been in our heart.
Help all to know if they accept Thee, that they shall never part.
