Come, go with me, be my own valentine this year,
We can walk and talk into the wood, let the birds fill us with cheer,
I took one look and then I surely knew from my heart,
That if you'd be mine, we would never, ever part.
I see the smile upon your face, the glimmer in your eyes,
Seems to be reflecting the blueness of Heaven's fairest skies,
So tall and straight, a gentleman in every sense of the word,
If you love me as I do you, 'twould be the sweetest story ever heard.
We crossed paths, we can hear each others heartbeat, as we kiss,
And oh! If you left me for another, your kisses I would sorely miss,
But we shall not part, we'll walk down life's path together,
And I'll be yours and you'll truly be mine forever and ever.
The goddesses were suppose to know all about love, I've been told,
But you and I will go on loving,'til our grand children call us old,
That won't be so long, if I go through life with you holding my hand,
Living and loving each other in this grand and wonderful land.
Maybe we can live near the woods, make jealous every standing tree,
As it doesn't possess the love that's in the heart of you and me,
Or by the seashore and wade all day through the sifting sands,
Holding on tight as the ships pass on by, watching us as we hold hands.
