Troubles will be here always, we cannot escape it seems,
But I know my Savior lives forever, this is ever in my dreams,
He came and died for you and me, that old Cross He chose to bear,
And upon His Glorious head, a crown of thorns he had to wear.
But because He lives forever, I know He waits for me,
Far beyond the sky, in that fair city of glorious victory,
That I may come to meet Him, up yonder in glory some sweet day,
Because He lives forever and because He paved the way.
Oh death where is thy sting, oh grave where is thy victory?
This Savior of mine lives forever, He went down in History,
He's the Lord of Lord and King of Kings, He lives on and on,
Thus, one day I'll meet Him, up yonder in my Heavenly home.
He eagerly awaits me, in my heart I know this is so very true,
Won't you come and go with me? I know he awaits you too.
Beyond a river to overflowing, water of crystal blue, I see in my mind,
All, ready for our mansions built without hands of man-kind.
He's the fairest of all, this loving King who forgives my sin,
That's why I go to Him on my knees again and again,
One day He will bring me there, this I know inside my heart is true,
And because He lives forever, I want to be there with Him too.
