ALPHA AND OMEGA

These are the names which start and end all things here,
I read in His book, of the water which runs clear,
If you're athirst, given freely is the water of life,
By our Lord and Savior, with loving rife.

Alpha and Omega, the first and last, the beginning and the end,
Confess your belief in Him, and Angels He will send,
To watch over thy life, danger and evil they'll keep away,
As His children, his sheep, He'll keep for that fateful day.

In that glad morning, when we will surely see,
A new Heaven and a new earth, will come to be,
And behold the tabernacle of God is with men,
He shall dwell with them, and they shall be, His people then.

He will wipe away all tears, all sorrow and pain,
He will be among us, make all things new, be as in Eden again.
He will be our God and we can be His sons anew,
Former things will be passed away, as is the morning dew.

He will carry us away in the Spirit, away from all pain,
When we see the new Jerusalem descending from a mountain top again,
Knowing He is Alpha and Omega, our first and our last love,
Walking with, Him, on the streets of gold, up there in Heaven above.
